Dr Dan Fitzpatrick is an organisational mental health researcher, educator, and former member of the Irish Defence Forces, where he served for 22 years in the Air Corps.
His experience in demanding, high-responsibility environments led him to explore an important question: why do capable, resilient people often struggle silently under psychological pressure?
Dan completed a PhD examining mental health and help-seeking behaviour within the Irish Defence Forces, with a particular focus on how organisational culture, professional identity, and perceived consequences can influence an individual’s willingness to seek support.
